4 Reasons this is the Best Way: Breaking up with a Married Man

It's always sad, on some level to see a relationship ends. There are many reasons that calling things off with some men really is the best way. Breaking up with a married man is the only healthy choice in most relationships of this nature. Here are four reasons why.

  • This relationship can never be truly equal. No matter how many lies you tell to try to convince yourself that this is an equal relationship or that you're holding all the cards it doesn't change the fact that he's getting much more from this than you are. Relationships are about give and take. He's doing all the taking and you're doing all the giving. More importantly, the relationship can't really go anywhere as long as he remains married to someone else.

  • You deserve better. You may not be convinced of this just yet but you do. You are a beautiful, brilliant, talented woman who has a world of options open to you. Don't sell yourself short by thinking the best you can do is half the heart (if that much) of a man that has promised to love, honor, and cherish another woman. You'll never be first to him as long as he's married and you really do deserve to be numero uno to the man you've given your heart to.

  • Fewer bonding experiences are available to you as a couple. Healthy relationships bond and grow over time. You really don't have a wide range of options open to you for bonding, growing together, and making plans for a future together. He has planned his future with someone else and you have no place in that pretty little picture. Chances are that no matter how much he tries to convince you otherwise he has no intention of leaving his wife for you.

  • Guilt. You might be telling yourself that it isn't your fault. You might even try to blame her for his indiscretions. He might even blame her for his indiscretions. The problem is after he leaves and when it's just you looking in the mirror. It's harder to hide from your own disapproval and very difficult to live with. It may even take some time after you've gone through the best way of breaking up with a married man for you to stop feeling so guilty but removing the weight will be like gaining a new lease on life.

Bowl Mens – important reasons for men's health to be taken seriously

Men's health is an important issue for everyone now, not only men. It is increasingly important for men to take an active role in their health as they age because the older you are, the more likely the disease will be. The first step is knowing that you are at risk, so you know what to look for. In heart disease and stroke to cancer, some things are inevitable, no matter what you try to do to avoid them. Things still, there are some that you can do to reduce risk. There are also things you can do to catch potentially fatal diseases (eg prostate cancer) before they have a chance to develop into something that can not be processed.
The first step, as any doctor will tell you, is to exercise and proper diet. Deep fried chicken wings and nachos are not items that a well balanced diet is, so try eating more salads and lean protein. There are little substitutions you can do that can significantly improve the health of men. The next time you go to the supermarket instead of buying ground meat, which is 15 percent fat choose a leaner version. Usually does not cost much more than a dollar or so per pound and worth of health benefits. And instead of buying chicken that has skin on it, choose boneless, skinless kind. It 'easier to cook and eat well to avoid a lot of calories and grams of fat.
Obviously, exercising regularly will have a huge impact on the health of men. Periodic inspections by a doctor is very important because that's how you get screened for various health problems. Also, if currently smoking or consumption of tobacco smoking, you should definitely make sure to stop. There are all kinds of programs that can help you with the habit, even online and in person support groups, and chewing gum and patches.

Binge Eating - Men Also At Risk

Binge Eating Disorder affects just about as many men as it does women, even though the stereotype is that eating disorders are thought to be a women’s disorder.  This stereotype is incorrect.  There are 25 million people that struggle daily with Binge Eating Disorder.  Out of that 25 million, you may be surprised to know that 40% are men.  According to Wikipedia.com, this means that three women for every two men suffer from Binge Eating Disorder.

There are different reasons as to why men develop Binge Eating Disorder.  One cause is if they play or played sports sometime in their life that required them to be thin or to lose a lot of weight for a particular competition, such as a wrestling match or running.  Football players and body builders are still at risk, but it is lower since these sports require some meat and muscles in order to be successful.  Another reason is that the chosen profession calls for thinness, such as modeling and acting.  Men feel a pressure, just as women do, to maintain a level of thinness when they are in the public eye and when they are in looked at.

A man is more at risk for developing Binge Eating Disorder at a older age than a woman does, especially if the man had a tendency to be overweight at a child.  This is because growing up a man believes that he needs to be strong and be able to protect not only himself, but also a female.  If he is thin, this translates to fragile and he will see himself as not being powerful and not being able to get the things that he wants in life because he is considered weak.

Treatment for men is the same as women; although, men are more reluctant to visit a professional since eating disorders are considered to be female difficulties.  The professional will go into detail to find out why the man comforts himself with food.  Once the reason why he binges comes to the surface, the professional can give him ideas of how to change his behaviors.  Once this happens and once the man feels comfortable with the professional, then the journey to recovery begins.

Clearly binge eating disorder is not only a female disorder, as many males are affected too.  Regardless of being male or female, it is important to admit that your relationship with food is not healthy and to seek help on how to make it healthy once again.

Designer Knitwear on the Comeback Trail

The level of interest around a mens knitwear range that were so popular back in the 1980’s, certainly amongst top golfers. Nowadays mens knitwear, is increasingly popular, worn by celebrities and by a younger person.
It was one of those tops that had a negative fashion appeal, in that wearing a knitwear jersey would have given most youngsters a headache. Interest in these tops has altered, along with the demise of the golfer jersey. Far from being consigned to history, men wearing knitwear jumpers are now in fashion. It is a sign of the times, and fashion labels like Gio-Goi clothing have a range of knitwear jumpers that are bringing back cool to mens knitwear.
Their designer jumpers are have a range of colours, and styles that make a healthy alternative to the more established hooded top. It makes a lot of parents happier to know their kids are beginning to pay a healthier respect to smarter fashions, slipping on the jumpers and knitwear tops that they would have worn.
That remains a number one priority this season, finding the designer sweaters that are going to be seen on the high streets. Though I would refer to these Gio-Goi designer jumpers as online fashions, as their outlets are so few. This is the noughties though and people are made aware of items worn by music celebrities, as recent images have seen Lilly Allen and Pete Docherty out and about wearing this style.
The designer ranges online this season are establishing some original style collections, mens knitwear being so huge again is a real opportunity for the fashion world to put the style back into mens knitwear.

Switch To HEPA Filters And Breathe Easier

Having a respiratory illness can, at times be debilitating and leave the sufferer feeling uncomfortable and unable to breath properly without difficultly. If you have breathing problems then you will understand just how problematic it can be to be in an environment that is stuffy and stale with dust particles and other debris floating around. Just a few minutes spent in a room that is poorly ventilated can be agony and leave the sufferer feeling ill for some time. One of the best ways in which to avoid situations like this is to use a good filtration system.

Today the best filter that is around and can be a massive a help for anyone with breathing problems and allergies is a HEPA filter. HEPA or high efficiency particulate air filters are the only filter that can eliminate 99.995% of all airborne particles, leaving the air fresh and clean without any pollutants. This makes them the ideal choice for anyone who has trouble breathing, suffers from allergies or begins to feel unwell when in an atmosphere that is stale with little ventilation.

When HEPA filters were first developed they were primarily used in hospitals to aid health and prevent the spread of airborne bacteria. These filters were also fitted with ultraviolet, high energy light units which were designed to kill any remaining bacteria that were attached to the filters. Although these type of filters are not needed in the home or office they are still used in hospitals to stop the spread of illnesses.

If you are looking to change the filters in your home or workplace to HEPA ones you are making the right decision as HEPA filters will make the world of difference to the air quality in your home or office. You can fit HEPA filters into your air conditioning system which will mean that the risk of breathing problems due to dust, dust mite faeces, pollen and other irritants is reduced significantly. You can easily fit HEPA filters into your air conditioning system without the need to replace anything else or incur extra cost other than that of the filters.

Perhaps you would like to have even greater protection from other allergy inducing particles such as pet dander or dust and mites in carpets and upholstery. If this is the case you should invest in a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner which will get rid of 99.995% of the particles hidden in fabrics which also contribute to poor breathing.

One thing is for sure, when you switch your regular filters in your air conditioner to HEPA filters you will soon be breathing the cleanest air you can, and you will feel much better for it. So if you value your health and the health of your family or workforce use HEPA filters. If you need assistance with changing your filters in your air conditioning system get in touch with your local HVAC professional who can help you with a filter solution to meet your needs perfectly.

Dieters and Diabetics No Longer Need to Swim Against the Current

Most of us have heard about the benefits of eating certain kinds of seaweed. But recently, scientists have discovered a type of carotenoid called Fucoxanthin that is being haled as the new miracle food. It’s an antioxidant that experts believe promotes weight loss, and can even help to treat diabetes and cancer.

Fucoxanthin is found in wakame and hijiki, two kinds of brown seaweed, as well as some forms of red and green seaweed. This is the same seaweed that consumers find wrapped around most of their sushi rolls. At one billion years old, wakame is one of the oldest types of ocean plants ever discovered that still exist today. Asians have been consuming it for thousands of years and visibly benefit from it.

Some animal testing in labs has determined that Fucoxanthin will help treat diabetes in the near future. The supplement can diminish insulin and blood glucose levels by promoting the development of DHA in the body. DHA, otherwise known as omega-3, has proven to decrease bad cholesterol, balance insulin production and improve metabolism.

The improvement of triglycerides, and thus metabolism, instigated studies at the Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan to find out if Fucoxanthin can be used as a weight loss tool. It turns out that Fucoxanthin promotes fat burning by escalating the use of thermogenin. This stimulates a protein called UCP1, which turns energy to heat by oxidizing body fat.

The process of metabolic thermogenin is when the body burns fat for use as energy. This is the same process that is used by bears to stay warm in the winter when they hibernate. In other words, a person could stay perfectly still for a long time, and still burn fat while taking Fucoxanthin as directed. It also seems to have a positive effect on the kind of fat that attaches itself to the heart, abdomen and other organs thus reducing heart disease and helping to control diabetes. In studies, rodents lost about 10% of their body fat when given Fucoxanthin as 2% of their diet.

The other use found for Fucoxanthin is quite astonishing. There has been some test-tube evidence that Fucoxanthin may help fight tumors. This particular use is inconclusive, but more research is being done to find out if Fucoxanthin can be used to help fight tumors in cancer patients along with other medical treatments.

Rich in vitamin C, beta-carotene, riboflavin, vitamin B12 and B6, among others, wakame is a very wholesome food. Although it’s tempting to go to your local sushi bar and load up on sushi and sea weed salad, it is important to know that sea weed actually contains fairly large amounts of iodine as well. Consuming large portions of it can lead to iodine poisoning which can harm the thyroids.

While this does not mean that eating seaweed is unsafe, it is much safer to get Fucoxanthin in the form of a pill or supplement rather than gorge yourself on Japanese food. There seems to be no known negative side effect of taking Fucoxanthin as a dietary supplement.

The Foremost Nail-Biting Solution Is Hypnotherapy

The underlying causes of most physical habits may be quite varied, and rooted at different psychological levels. Although hypnotherapy has a wide range of uses, the behaviors that are most directly related to physical habits are typically the ones that can be treated with hypnotherapy most immediately and directly. Smoking cessation is the most well known of these, and is one of the most successful and less invasive techniques for reaching its goal. Another common area for hypnotherapy treatment is for weight reduction. Similarly, hypnotherapy is also the best technique for ending a nail biting habit.

The nail biting habit has much in common with smoking. It is a ritualistic, physical habit. Either might be caused by the mechanics of a simple physical routine, or may perhaps be indicative of deeper psychological root causes. And in either case the habit itself can be very effectively halted with hypnotherapy.

Discovering and resolving underlying psychological issues, which are exhibited in nail biting and smoking can be a process that requires numerous sessions with a knowledgeable hypnotherapist. Not all hypnotists and hypnotherapists are capable of working at the deep psychological level. Fortunately, for the purposes of eliminating a smoking or a nail biting habit, they are not required to work below the most direct physical level.

The immediate goal of finding a nail biting cure is far more straightforward. Many of our deeper psychological and emotional states are impacted by our physical state, so in solving the physical symptoms directly, we are also able to have an indirect impact on deeper issues. In addition, not all negative physical behaviors have underlying causes; sometimes it is merely just a physical habit; it just “feels” good for the individual to take part in them.

I have seen that the focused and relaxed state of hypnosis can achieve nearly miraculous results when used in causing simple physical state changes. Whenever I eliminate severe burn pain, remove nausea, and solve other physical symptoms for a client in just a few seconds, it still surprises and amazes me, even though I am supposedly the one with the “power” (although as we know, the true power exists within the client’s unconscious mind). The capabilities exist in each of our minds to block severe pain and nausea; so the ability to prevent one from biting their nails is a modest goal in comparison.

I have found three of the powerful aspects of hypnotherapy to be anchoring, substitution and association. With association, one can link the undesirable behavior to something aversive; with substitution, one can replace the bad habit with an innocuous one; with anchoring, one can connect physical movement triggers with alternative feelings and behaviors.

With association, just like the simple hypnotic phenomenon can make a piece of white bread taste like the most delectable New York Cheesecake to a subject, one can make the feeling and taste of nail biting to be extremely distasteful. If your subject is consistently and repeatedly conditioned that the taste and feel of nail biting is very unpleasant, it will help to cause the habit to cease.

There are chemical products that achieve this goal via foul tasting nail polish. However, with a mental association it is easy to stop nail biting without relying on consistently applying a chemical product. This “aversion” type of therapy generally isn’t very helpful. But it is only reliable when used as an adjunct to eliminating stress that causes one to bite their nails, as well as extinguishing conditioned responses (unconscious associations), which triggers one to bite their nails.

With substitution, it can be effective to replace the nail-biting behavior with a more benign affliction. For instance, it is quite effective to make the suggestion that whenever one feels the impulses that lead them towards nail biting, they will take a deep breath instead, and slowly exhale, achieving all the same feelings and resolution that nail biting used to bring. I have found the deep breathing substitute to be very effective for a wide range of problems.

Similarly, anchoring can be used to subvert one action into another, and works well with association and substitution. It is useful to create the suggestion that each and every time subjects see their fingers coming to their mouth, they vividly remember the unpleasant taste association, and they instead take a deep breath to resolve the tension.

In summary, hypnotherapy has been recognized as one of the most successful methods for negative habit modification. Just as with smoking cessation, the techniques and concepts discussed here prove to be very successful as a long-term nail-biting solution.

    Stop Blaming Genetics!

Have you ever heard people blame their current weight problem on their genetics? I'm just "big boned" or "I have my mother's thighs". It is a very convenient excuse for being overweight! But let me ask you this, how much can your genetics actually change in just a few generations?

Look back at your grandparents or your great grandparents; did they have a weight problem? Truth is that the only thing that has changed dramatically in just a few generations is our fast paced lifestyles. We now favor convenience over nutrition. The foods we eat now come pre prepared; pre packaged and ready to eat. Plus, we are eating more of these poor quality foods and moving far less!

The scary thing is that these poor eating habits are being past to future generations. What bad habits are we unwillingly passing on to our kids?

Once we realize that we are in control of what goes into our mouths, and begin to make informed choices about what we eat, these choices will begin to have a positive effect on every aspect of our life. 'Your body is a direct reflection of your lifestyle.' If you learn how to positively change your lifestyle your body will follow. Results are inevitable!

This is further backed up by the recent article in the Herald Sun - http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,,25777147-5005961,00.html

It suggests that it is behavioural rather than genetic factors that have a greater influence in determining whether children become obese. Children become obese as a result of being influenced by their same-sex parent, not as a result of genetics, according to this new study.

Building a Strong and Healthy Body

I am often asked why I structure resistance programs completely different to convention training methods. For example why do I place the compound exercises before the isolations when usually most conventional programs will have you do it the other way around. Here is a brief explanation as to why I order them this way.

Simple...If you want conventional results, train conventionally! If you want much, much more from your training program read on...

All the exercises in any successful, well balanced Resistance Programs have to be ordered specifically to help you achieve the fastest possible results. And it is probably the complete opposite to what you may have been taught.

Compound exercises should always be performed before isolation exercises!

This is because a compound exercise movement more closely matches natural, functional movements of everyday life. For example, pushing or pulling something heavy. If we need to push something with force we naturally incorporate our arms, shoulders and chest muscles into the movement.

We do not simply try to push with arm strength alone. This is the way the human body is designed to work. The body will always try to adapt by growing stronger to make the task easier.

Because of this reason the body will prefer to grow in proportion, maintaining its strength ratio. For example, when we push an object with force, a certain percentage of the 'push' comes from the chest, the shoulders and the arm muscles. As the chest is the biggest pushing muscle it makes up a greater percentage of the overall 'push'. But what happens if we over train the Triceps muscles of the arms to do more than their natural share of 'pushing'?

The answer is that it upsets the ratio, creating imbalance in the body. As the body prefers to grow in proportion, you will be able to get far greater results if this natural ratio is adhered to.

    Why?

The reason is that the body is structurally designed to work a certain way. This includes the frame (skeleton) and tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments etc). Try and change the ratio and it will result in injury and imbalance. The body will naturally try and prevent this from happening.

It will be easier to increase both strength and muscle growth if the body gains them proportionally. Training the body in this way means that your pushing strength will increase but your pushing ratio will be maintained.

Starting with the more functional and natural movements of the compound exercises we can safely lift heavier weights. These are the muscle building sets. They require a heavier weight to be lifted less times.

Plus, having the full use of the supporting muscles during these heavier sets means a greater reduction of stress on the joints, allowing you to frequently increase the resistance while limiting the chance of injury.

It is these compound sets that form the strong foundation of any successful Resistance Program. This is evident in the way your body develops - stronger, more balanced and in proportion.

Isolation sets are the definition sets. These sets isolate singular muscles and fine tune their development.

Many people try to lift too much weight during an Isolation Exercise when only one muscle group is active, placing tremendous stress on the ligaments, tendons and joints. As a result, most people incorporate a swinging technique to assist them in the lift (this means that it becomes a compound exercise anyway).

The weight is now being moved by momentum, detracting greatly from the resistance that is actually being placed on the targeted muscle. This results in limited muscle growth and significantly increases the chance of injury.

If used correctly however, Isolation Exercises can be a crucial tool in creating muscle definition for that 'shredded' or 'sculpted' look.

By training Isolation exercises after the Compound, you have successfully pre fatigued the muscles (and satisfied the ego). You are now forced to lift significantly lighter weights. Doing this means you can now correctly perform the exercise without bad, swinging technique and effectively 'isolate' the muscle you are targeting.

It is the correct combination of both Compound and Isolation sets that can create a strong, functional, well balanced body.

The Health Benefits of a Mediterranean Style Diet

There are so many benefits to eating healthy and exercising. The positive response to such a lifestyle can often seem redundant due to its literally unending chime. Eating healthy allows for a more balanced weight, it offers one much more natural energy, feels good, decreases the chance of many life threatening diseases such as diabetes and heart problems; the list goes on. Likewise, exercise ensures a much more aesthetic physique; enables the joints and your body’s “hardware” to last much longer while more efficiently moving about; it, too, offers a valuable supply of energy; and also keeps the body in a more prime shape, ready to fight against foreign agents such as sickness and disease. Well, here is another gift you can add to the list of immeasurable benefits just by sculpting your lifestyle with diet and exercise: the reduction of the risk of Alzheimer’s. More acutely, sticking to a Mediterranean-type diet, plus the physical activity, you are able to reduce your risk of cognitive decline by up to 60%!

One of the first remarkable studies that led the medical society down the path of Mediterranean diet and exercise to prevent Alzheimer’s was back in 2006 when 1,880 senior men and women, averaging an age of 77 years old, were studied over a period of 5.5 years in New York. Intermittent studies performed every 18 months or so, were designated to chronicle the lifestyles and the results of those who did and did not stick closely to the suggested Mediterranean diet and physical activity. These studies provided hopeful results. Those who engaged in the highest amount of activities showed a reduced risk of Alzheimer’s by 33%. Furthermore, those who most closely revolved around the Mediterranean diet had reduced their risk by 40%. After further observation and clinical trials, it was estimated that the healthy combination of both Mediterranean diet and exercise resulted in an overall 60% risk reduction. Additional studies geared toward finding a relation to the lessened, or slower, decline of cognitivity also produced results that correlated with the benefit of a Mediterranean diet plus exercise.

Being able to have some sort of control in reducing the risk of Alzheimer’s should be appealing to us all. Physical activity is a very broad field that does not need to be refined when specifically trying to prevent a mental decline. However, specifically a Mediterranean diet is suggested to promote the best results in this particular matter. So what does that entail? A Mediterranean diet primarily consists of high consumption of fish, with minimal red meat and poultry, a great amount of vegetables, legumes, cereals, nuts, and fruits, low-to-no dairy, and olive oil is used for all cooking purposes-providing the main source of fat. Moderate wine consumption is also part of this diet.

Of course, switching lifestyles at the ripe old age of 77 is not what gets you passed the risk of Alzheimer’s. Perhaps it may help a bit, but a long term lifestyle of health is the golden ticket. As with anything, a long term effect provides more substantial results. It is encouraged to adapt to a healthy lifestyle as soon as possible. If you love food and are not willing to give certain things up; compromise. Increase the fish and the vegetables. Use the olive oil and eliminate the chemicals. Mediterranean flavor is abundant, and for those who like to cook: there are plenty of recipes. A nice brisk walk is complemented perfectly by feeding your body something it naturally needs. The positive effects will be apparent. Why not enjoy these benefits-coherently-for as long as possible?

Walk Into a More Beautiful You

Some exercises are absolutely intimidating. They are strenuous, necessitate moving parts of your body in directions you’ve never dreamed of, and they usually utilize little muscles you didn’t even know existed. It can be pretty embarrassing to show up to a class full of intermediate-advanced workout buffs and be the only one floundering through each exercise routine in the back of the room. Where it is absolutely recommended to go out there and try whatever you are able to in order to work your body out into a healthier, more physically capable you; there are still always the everyday safety zones you can retreat to that will ultimately get the job done. Walking, for example, is still always a great, yet basic, way to transform your body and your lifestyle.

Walking can be done everywhere and at anytime. As soon as one leaves his home, it begins. To top it off, neither a treadmill, nor a gym, are needed in order to follow through with this type of exercise. It is essentially free. Eventually, continuing a walking regime will lead to shedding pounds, and maintaining weight; with or without a dietary change. Of course, it is recommended to reduce calories, increase fruits and vegetables, and always take in as much water as possible; but usually after time, a healthier body will innately crave subtle changes naturally.

An hour long walk five days a week will lead to pound shedding. Many people will come up against an obstacle of not enough time or not enough stamina to execute a plan like this right off the bat. That is expected, and fine. It is encouraged to start with at least thirty minutes of even a casual pace. This will at least get the heart rate elevated for a few minutes, which is ultimately, and eventually, the key to losing weight. Even if you must wake up in the morning and do thirty minutes and then another thirty minutes after dinner, it is wise to get the length of time in somehow. Or perhaps you must creatively segment numerous fifteen minute short walks. Anything is better than nothing. It is, however, important to remember that the longer the duration in one setting, the greater the benefits to be reaped. Calories tend to burn faster after half an hour of walking, increasing the effect the longer the walk. Another crucial aspect is the speed of your gait. Initially, it may be suggested to walk to the level of your comfort, but in time it is imperative to speed up your step in order to see results. A slow two mph pace burns about 26 calories per ten minutes; thirty minutes burns about 79 calories. Increasing to three mph almost doubles the caloric burn. Walking four miles in an hour will reward you with a total of 370 calories burned. Keep a rate like that up and you will lose a pound every ten days or so; approximately 35 lbs in a year!

Walking not only helps you lose weight and tone your muscles, it also decreases cholesterol, reduces the risk of breast cancer, and helps prevent against heart disease. It is a well known form of stress management, increasing your natural balance of energy, and it will ultimately heighten your mood. Once you commit to walking, you will inevitably find the time you previously felt you lacked in order to continue stepping towards a better feeling, lighter you. Let’s face it: walking is something we do everyday as it is. It is free, convenient, low-risk of injury, and is all around positive. We should all commit to walking for our health, no matter what the level of intensity.
